Introducing Eliana Kohanzad
My name is Eliana Kohanzad and I am a Prepare/Enrich Facilitator, Certified Mediator and a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT 114698) practicing individual, couple, and group psychotherapy under the supervision of Morella Hammer (LMFT 46762). I received my BA in Sociology cum laude from the University of California, Los Angeles, and earned a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University.
I strive to help my clients authentically express, explore and experience the various parts of who they are in order to promote insight, healing and growth. I specialize in supporting those struggling with dating, premarital and early marriage issues, codependency, self-esteem, depression and life transitions. I aim to find underlying causes to symptoms to help you attain a deeper connection. I believe that healing comes from feeling empowered, gaining a stronger sense of self, understanding recurring patterns, cultivating self-compassion, feeling alive, uncovering new coping mechanisms and being able to make desired changes in a safe, nonjudgmental and nurturing environment.
My approach is empathetic and collaborative, sensitive to your unique personality, needs, and goals. I listen attentively with my ears and deeply with my heart. I am here to help you uncover and better understand the life challenges and day-to-day stressors that detract from your life and focus. I want to help you come to peace with your past, break old patterns, and begin identifying and practicing things that allow you to reach and maintain the fulfilling life that you want and deserve to have.
